Teaching
I absolutely love teaching in the 3rd grade. What was I so worried about! My class is so smart and just love learning.
So far I have been able to teach them 2 math lessons that I prepared myself. This week we are starting to learn about Gravity. The students are excited to learn about it and I am excited to teach them. (did I say that I love my class?)
I hope I am rubbing off on my students as much as they are rubbing off on me. The got me hooked on Fablehaven and now I am on the 4th book. I love reading to them. I have also had the opportunity of introducing them to "Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles." They had never heard of it before. The students are just eating up the story and hate it when I have to stop. If I could, I would read to them all day!
I am always amazed at how well the kids grasp technology. This cartoon really explains things well. The kids are always turning their writings into podcasts and they are so good at it!

Baby Bedding
It may have taken 12 hours of sewing and whatnot, but I finished the dust ruffle and bumper pad for the baby's crib! I am happy about how it turned out. I mostly used the pattern, but then had to modify it to fit the padding that I bought.
I guess we are a little bit closer to getting the baby's room in order!

24 Weeks down!
Things I like about being pregnant:
- I don't feel as bad about having strange cravings
- It is an excuse for EVERYTHING
- Leading the way with my belly (I get so many smiles from strangers!)
- Just sitting and feeling the movement of my baby
- Dan talks to him and keeps trying to "play" with him
- Reading books to baby is fun
- Baby makes orchestra interesting. He starts kicking up a storm when I play
- I especially love the closeness I feel with my baby,my husband, and the Lord

Lines that say it all

I remember a line from the "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" that I had. It perfectly fits my thoughts now. "Hurry up, Spring! Hurry!!"
"Impossible things are happening every day." This one is from Cinderella. It is possible for the snow to keep coming all day long in April...
"I wish in the name of all the dreamers in all the world that [that Spring will come soon!]" Also from Cinderella. Maybe if we all wish it enough, Spring will arrive bringing with it the warm sunshine, the spring flowers, and the twittering birds.
P.S. Can you tell that I am impatient for Spring?
Oh yeah, and this is what we woke up to Friday morning
