Willow Park Zoo

Did you know that Logan has it's own zoo? It is a lot of fun for kids and a nice quiet place to relax. Doesn't sound like most zoos, does it. Well the majority of the animal life at this zoo are birds. Although they do have an albino porcupine, which is strange looking...

We decided to chill one evening and took Oakley to the zoo. I thought he would enjoy the monkeys. and seeing all of the animals up close. (The monkeys must have been tired, because they hardly moved the entire time we were near them.)

First off, we saw one of the roaming peacocks. And of course we had to chase it down for a closer look.

It was such a nice evening. We enjoyed taking a break and relaxing on the grass.

As I said in a previous post, Oakley has an awesome war face. What are dads for but to teach their children how to make silly faces?

Dads are also great rides when the stroller  gets boring.

Oakley found this duck sleeping close to the fence. He wanted to play with it so bad!

(I love seeing my two boys together!)

Oh the Faces I See

Oakley has sooo many funny faces! He just cracks us up.  Lately he has been trying to give us a war face- it usually ends up looking like a glare. He finds it hilarious and has a hard time keeping a straight face. So I will let you enjoy the many faces of my Gordon Oakley. (p.s. I Love this first picture. He is starting to look like a little boy instead of my little baby.)

Oakley likes sharing with us, especially grass that he pics.

 Here's the War Face!
And the glare...In it's many forms.

To Trev and Leisha

The Kunz family gained a new member this past may. I'm just now getting to the picture-posting. Congrats Trevor and Leisha!
These two were married in the Manti temple. It was a beautiful day for the happy couple.
Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I will let them do the talking.

Cabelas

On the way to Oak City, a few weeks ago we decided that we need to escape traffic. We stopped at Cabelas  to show Oakley the animals and fish. He made lots of funny faces the entire time.

But of course we had to have dinner while we were there.

Mr. Gordon O.

Oakley got his first teeth shortly after Christmas. His top two teach came shortly after at the end of January. His fifth tooth just popped through this week!

This little guy has really developed a love of baths. He just splashes and splashes! I think He would stay in the bath forever if I let him.

Grandma Kunz introduced Oakley to bubbles. He LOVES them! He doesn't really try to pop them. He just watches in amazement.

Daddy and Oakley like to spend time together....I think Oakley is doomed to follow in his daddy's footsteps. He LOVES guns. He likes to see them. When he hears one, he just laughs.

Oakley has the funniest facial expressions. I absolutely love them. They can be hard to capture on camera, though. I will keep trying to catch the choicest ones.

This is how Oakley watched General Conference. I just snuggled into the Siesta Sack with Zobbs and relaxed.

Oakley got his first hair cut in April.

AFTER

Have I mentioned that I love his facial expressions?

Grandma dressed him up in socks...

Oakley has always been keen on walking. He started commando crawling in Feb. He went straight to cruising along furniture. He loves practicing his skills with anyone willing to walk with him. Just this week, he has finally started crawling on his hands and knees. But, walking is his preferred method.
