School is our Life
Well since October Daniel and I have been immersed in our school work. We only have 3 weeks left counting finals week! We got out once a week to Bajio or Bedo's--SOOOO GOOD! Sometimes it might seem that we dropped of the face of the earth but we just want our family to know that we are thinking about them and praying for them.
Congrats to Ty and Kristi for the birth of their new boy!
Hope to see you soon!

Goblin Guts
Today in Kindergarten we made Goblin Guts! They are really yummy!
2 cups of ground witches (peanut butter)
1 cup of ghost blood (sweetened condensed milk)
1 package of bat toenails (coconut)
1 package of frog eyes (chocolate chips)
1/2 cup of ground mummy brains (powered sugar)
Just mix it all together with a hand mixer and then roll into balls. So good!
The kids loved them.

School
Well Daniel and I are both working hard at school. We spend at least 3 hours a day on the 3rd floor in the Library together ( and yes we are actually studying. you have to be silent on that floor).
Daniel just took his first test, while I have given a couple of presentations. The two of us are definitely in completely different majors. School keeps us busy but we have found time to visit home the past couple of weekends. We like to escape to the fresh air.
I have a feeling that this is what school will be like when I start teaching school.

Our New Apartment
We are finally all settled into are new apartment and are into the school routine. As promised here are a few pictures of our apartment. I love living here.
1. This is the second room that we use for the computer, music, and extra storage.
2. This is our bedroom closet, notice Dan's touch of decor.3. Another view of the bedroom.
4. Our kitchen. I just love how much cupboard space I have and how big it is.
5. And the living room. I wasn't able to get the whole room into the shot, so this is done in two.

Whoops
Well It has been over two months since we have updated our blog.
Dan and I have successfully moved all of our stuff up to Logan were we will be living for the next two years or so. We couldn't believe how much stuff we had accumulated over the year that we have been married and are grateful to our parents for helping us with the move. We love our new apartment and I will be posting new pictures as soon as we have everything settled in.
Our classes started today. Hopefully we will get into the swing of things fairly easy. Dan will spend his days going back and forth between two buildings while I will run around campus to my various classes.
I was informed last week, the week before school, that I was being accepted into the Elementary Education program this fall instead of spring. I then spent the week with my councilor trying trying to add all of the classes that I needed. I also had to buy all new books, but thanks to Mom, I discovered a place where I could rent them instead.
Needless to say we will be busy as ever. Hopefully I will be a little more diligent in updating our blog now that we live farther away.

Our Little Pageant Miracle

Being in the Mormon Miracle Pageant has been a blessing to me. Throughout June is has rained quite a bit. During our practices on the hill it would sprinkle and sometimes just poor on us, soaking our costumes and us. Thursday our performances started and we haven't been rained on yet. The miracle witnessed is as follows.
Friday Elder L. Tom Perry of the quarum of the 12 apostles attended our performance. It was really a special experience to have an apostle so close to us and talking specifically to us. the performance went off without a hitch and Elder Perry said that it was perfect. That night he stayed in the pageant president's home. During the night the rain came and continued with a furry throughout the day. Elder Perry offered the breakfast prayer in which he prayed that the rain would fall throughout the day, but that it would clear and allow the pageant to continue without the storm.
It certainly was a miracle witnessed. We were so gratefull that it took place and allowed the audience to attend without discomfort so that they may feel of the great spirit of the program.

Our Killer Visitor
I don't know how many know this, but we have had a problem with bugs...little roach type bugs. They are really ugly and find their way into our cupboards easily. Daniel and I finally bought some roach motels a few months ago and it seemed to work, but I kept finding and killing the little demons. Well it seems that we are not the only ones with the problem. The apartment owner had a bug "Terminator" to come pay each apartment a visit. I'm so glad he came! even though I had to empty out all of the cupboards fro a couple of days and didn't know where anything was. I talked to him a little and it seems our infestation wasn't nearly as bad as some other apartments. Eww! I can only imagin! Now our bug problem should go away and my cupboards are nice and organized again. It's been a very good thing.

The month of April in Pictures
Since April is long over, here is a brief recap of what happened.
We were able to spend time in Delta and Oak City for Easter. We even helped Emersen color her first Easter egg!
This is our First East Together picture.
We just had to take a picture of this cute little girl on her first Easter.

Towards the end of April I participated in the performance of Karl Jenkins' Songs of Sanctuary. It was a large production with the choir, chamber orchestra, and dancers. I was excited that my families could come.
And of course we can't forget our finals week which included all of the studying and final projects. We sure are glad school is done with... for now.

Comfort Foods
Lately I've noticed that I crave foods that my mom always made when I was growing up. I constantly make tater tot casserole, mac and cheese casserole, German pancakes, and my latest addition is the chocolate malt o meal cereal she would make. I miss my mom's cooking. Nothing I make ever turns out the same as hers!

Are we done yet?
Are we done with school yet!? There is only 5 weeks of school left counting finals week. I am getting so anxious to be out and done with this busy schedule! Between tests, homework, studying, work, practicing, and let's not forget housework, the hours fly past. Last weekend was my chance for a busy testing weekend and this week is Dan's week to have tests an projects due.
The only thing about summer that I'm not looking forward to is working. I am applying at Gandolfo's. My orchestra director Dr. Smith says that he highly recommended me to the owner. So I have my fingers crossed.
And one more thing...the closer we are to the end of the semester, the closer We are to going to WICKED!!!

Don't you think this is Odd?
Driving through Timponogos we saw the weirdest combination of stores. We wonder how successful that Weight Watchers is.

Our Spring Break
Well our first official day of Spring Break it snowed. And it snowed good. We went up to Provo/Orem to go shopping. On the way home, Dan decided to pick a fight with a road sign just outside of Nephi. Luckily the car didn't suffer too much damage, just a popped out grill and a little scratch in the paint. The sign was flattened and luckily we had some people stopped to help us get back on the road. Needless to say, it took a total of 3 hours to get home to Ephraim.
Here is a picture I took out the car window at the gas station in Nephi.
Most of our break we spent visiting family. It is always fun to visit and play games with both of our families.
Friday we took off and headed south to go camp at Calf Creek with Jordan and Neesha who were just starting their Spring Break. We had so much fun there and hiked up to the Lower Calf Creek Falls. We also tried to find some slot canyons, but we could figure out how to get to them.

Tragedy at Snow College
I feel that I need to post a note about a car accicent that happened this last weekend. On Febuary 13 two girls were killed, Micah and Shiloh Edwards. I had Shiloh in a class last year and she was so much fun. She was also on her way home to become engaged the next day. I can't believe how life can end in just a moment. I pray that their family will be comforted.

Se la vi...
Well there really isn't a whole lot of interesting things going on in Ephraim. Daniel and I are both busy with classes, homework, work and studying for tests. (We both have huge tests tomorrow so wish us luck!)
I am really enjoying my Children's Literature class. It's fun to read childrens books and actually be doing it for a class. Sometimes I just go to the lybrary and read picture books. I get a lot of funny looks because everyone else around me is studying biology, psychology, chemistry, and what not. My teacher is excellent and really has an enthusiasim for this genre.
Daniel and I stretched Valentines into a week-long holiday. It started the 7th when I got home from St. George. I bought him a book called The monster who did my math. I knew that I wouldn't be able to hide it, so I just gave it to him then. On wednesday I recieved my little gift. Daniel sold one of his pistols and bought a wii for us. I was so surprised! We have fun playing games on it together and working out on the wii fit. On saturday we went to dinner and watched a Walk to Remember (that was for me).
Happy Valentines to everybody!

Movie Review
Saturday, Dan and I went to see the movie Inkheart. I was excited to see it because I've read the book as well as the sequel, Inkspell. I quite enjoyed it and they followed the book very well. Unfortunately, they left out alot of the build-up which is expected since the book is quite thick. Brenden Frasier played Moe, the father and I think that He did a great job. Overall I quite liked it.

Nowadays...
Well here we are back at good ol' Ephraim, where it snows and never melts. Daniel and I started our last semester at Snow College last week. It's hard to believe that we are almost halfway done with our schooling. Dan can't wait to have a real job and I'll just be glad that I don't have to go to school anymore...I guess that doesn't really work. If I teach, I'll have to keep going to school.
