Time for Pumpkins

The boys enjoyed choosing their pumpkins to carve. We went to one of the many fruit stands to find the perfect pumpkins for us.

They thought that riding on the cart was super cool.
We wanted to wait until it was closer to Halloween to do the actual carving. Oakley wanted to paint and put stickers on his pumpkin. He that the face Dad helped him with was hilarious.
Benson was content to let Dad help him put stickers on his pumpkin.

Finally, the week of Halloween, we made a huge mess of the kitchen and carved our pumpkins.
Oakley was so excited. I asked him how he want to make the face. He chose square eyes and a rectangle nose. He did such a good job carving and only needed a little help on the mouth.
Benson thought it was great fun to carve too.
His favorite part was the light inside the pumpkin. He was to enthralled and kept trying to blow the light out.
We put them on the porch (I forgot to take a picture of them) and the Benson would always take the lids off to peek inside. Oakley was patient with Benson and kept putting the lids back on.
