1 Week to Go
For one of my classes we had to do a 10 hour service project.
(The little boy in this one wanted to make sure we got his daddy in the picture)
My group decided to find families whose husband/father were in Iraq and make dinner for them. It has been a lot of work and planning but well worth it.
Each family that we went to had adorable kids and you could tell that the mothers were relieved not to have to make dinner while keeping track of the kids. It was a neat experience.

Spring Ball
Last night was the Spring Ball. The theme was "Black and White" and "New York, New York." Kinda strange for a "spring" dance. Mostly everyone wore black and white...but there was a splash of color every now and then. I went with Dan of course but left early to watch Emporer's New Groove because he wasn't feeling so good.

Oh the Life of a Musician!
How much music can one poor college freshman handle? There doesn't seem to be time in the day to do all the practicing that i need too. With my trip to Holland approaching my days are filled with practicing. I have to practice so much music for my many groups. Symphony, Chamber, Quartet, Trio, and lets nut forget my private lesson!!!
For those of you who don't know, I also play the electric violin in a band called Junction 89. It's just a bunch of fun with my Bishop and his friends. We are actually playing for a banquet of 800 people this Saturday so we have been having 3 hour practes every now and then. Oh the Life of a Musician!

The Sun will come out Tomorrow!!!
I'm so excited for the sun! Here in Ephraim it has been snowing almost everyday. Sometimes I would have to wipe the snow off my car 2 - 3 times a day. But latley they weather has been warming up and melting the white away. Now along with watching out for ice I have to watch out for deep puddles. It's feeling more like spring every day!

It's All Greek to Me
I absolutely love my night class, Classic Myths and Folk Tales. Tonight's class was so incredibly packed that the 2 1/2 hours went by fast. We covered quite a bit of material from Gaea down to her grandson, Zues. I love the stories and how they relate to everyday things such as Harry Potter, Cereal, and animal origins. Amazing!
