my Nerdy self
* While waiting for Daniel to come out of the gas station, I found myself counting in base 3.
* In Sunday school I found myself drawing a comparison from the book of Revelations to Lord of the Rings.
* I often quote Lord of the Rings and watch all of the movies consecutively.
* One day I was listening to video game music, Legend of Zelda to be exact. In my head I was figuring out the bowings...and then I realized I had already played the piece before at Snow College.
* Here is a bragging one...I currently have a cumulative GPA of 3.9 and will graduate with Summa Cum Laude. and scored in the top 15% of all test takers on the PRAXIS exam.
I am sure there are many, many more, but that is all for now.

5 Months Young
Mr. Gordon O is now 5 months old. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by! Wasn't it yesterday that we brought him home? Here are some things about him at this age.
* We now estimate his weight to be about 19 lbs.
* He wears primarily 9 month clothes.
* Much to the relief of this mother, Oakley sleeps through the night.
* We experienced the first time Oakley was sick. Thankfully it wasn't too bad and was just a cold.
* The first tooth is starting to poke through. We think that Oakley told Santa that he wanted his two front teeth for Christmas.
* He can now roll from his tummy to his back in a heartbeat and just learned how to roll from his back to his tummy.
* Oakley is such a happy boy and gives huge grins whenever someone looks at him.
* This little boy LOVES to stand. He just wants to get up and go already.
* He loves to sing along to the songs at church.
* He also tries to read books with you. He will do all of the voices and turn pages too!

4 months
Oakley is now four months old. I seriously can't believe it. Wasn't it just yesterday that he was born? He had his 4 month appointment yesterday and the Doctor assured us that he is just as healthy as can be.
Here are his stats:
- Weight-17.4 lbs, 88%
- Length-25 3/4 inches, 78%
- Head Circ. 42.5 cm, 55%
Last weekend while visiting Oak City/Delta, Oakley decided it was ok to roll over. Now, he will only roll over on his own every other day. Silly boy just wants to rest sometimes, I suppose.
We also started feeding rice cereal to Oakley. He gave us a funny face after his first taste. I really wish I had the camera out to capture it. Needless to say, feedings are a little messy. Oakley loves to reach for the spoon and try to put it to his mouth himself. That little boy keeps trying to get ahead. He loves to stand, too and just be up looking at everything.
