2 Months Old
Two months? really? Where does the time go? It seems like we just barely brought Benson home. We are so grateful that Benson is part of our family. We all love him to pieces.
2 month stats:
Weight: 12 lbs 7 oz 67%
Length: 22.5 inches 31%
Head Circ: 41 cm 73%
At 2 months Benson:
*Smiles and coos.
*Still eats every 4 hours but goes 8-9 hrs between feedings at night.
*Is starting to wear size 2 diapers.
*Fills out 3 month clothes.
*Has tons of hair that hangs over his collar. (I don't need to cut it, right?)
*Loves sitting up. Actually he just loves being upright.

Benson's Blessing Day
Today we blessed Benson. We were surrounded by family and had a wonderful day.
I was nervous about not having an all-white blessing outfit, but then I decided that it didn't matter what other people thought about it. I think he looks adorable in his little suit and he can even wear it again.
While getting ready for church, Oakley decided that he needed to wear Daddy's tie. Cute!
Of Course there was a battle of the Grandmas. They both love the boys so much and can't get enough of this sweet little baby.
Oakley had tons of fun with his cousins. I hardly saw him all afternoon. He was always with Bentley and Emersen. I don't think he really even stopped to eat lunch.
This is Daniel and his Grandma with little Benson.

Story Time
We love stories at our house!
We had an impromptu book reading on the deck one morning. It was nice weather and not too hot. We ready stories and ate otter pops (well, I ate one. Oakley wasn't sure about it.) I love that he loves books. He always needs us to read a book with him for nap and bedtime and will want to keep the book as he goes to sleep. I guess He kind of takes after me in this aspect.

Gardening
I have always wanted a garden and now that we have our house, we can! We didn't know if we would get to it this year, but Dan made it happen.
We planted peas, carrots, onions, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, crook-neck squash, and cucumbers. I am really hoping things grow. Wish me luck!

Memorial Day Weekend
We had a wonderful weekend with family. Memorial Day seems to have always been a big deal with my family. Growing up we would head over to Richfield and Venice to make a round of the cemeteries and family graves. My Aunt Janese would always share stories with us of our ancestors and my Grandpa Christensen would be part of the program in Richfield. It is a tradition that I miss. Some day I need to track down all of those wonderful stories and record them for my children.
This year we stuck around Delta/Oak City and played with cousins.
Oakley loved this little car that his Grandma Kunz has. He is a pro at driving backwards!
Oakley was trying to figure out the wiggle cars.
And Bentley was kind enough to drive Oakley around. I think they even went to get chicken nuggets at the drive through.
Sunday night, Grandpa Staheli had a sleepout with the three cousins. Isn't that fun! This is the view of the tent from the door when I went to see them in the morning. Can you see Oakley?
Oakley sure enjoyed the pancakes, too
While waiting for everyone to finish eating, Oakley was running around and playing. He ran right of the ledge with the benches landing flat on his nose. Immediately there was a ring of red around his nose. Poor kid was not happy. I worried that he broke his nose, but there was no blood and he was all better when we got home and watched Super Why.
Benson? Well...he was just happy with all of the attention he was getting from Grandmas and grandpas.
